Vapeholix Buying Guide – Best Vape Mods For 2021
If you’re an intermediate vaper who hasn’t used a Vape mod before, buying the best vape mods in the UK can be difficult these days. On the other hand, suppose you’ve never used a vape mod before. In that case, it’s difficult to tell what features you’ll need – and because vape mods are so widespread among veteran vapers, it’s a vast product category with a lot of diversity.
In this article, we will support you in clarifying your purchasing decision. We’ll tell you what the best vape mod on the marketplace is in 2021, and we’ll also give you some general advice to help you pick what type of vape mod could be ideal for your requirements if our choice doesn’t quite cut it. We’ll also go over what vape mods are and why you’d want one in the first place.
Most people looking for their first vape are looking for a vape kit, which includes the mod, battery, a tank, and two coils, as well as the typical accoutrements like a charging cable, spare rubber rings, a user manual, and so on. But that isn’t always what you require. Maybe you already have a great vape tank and simply need a new battery to replace the one that has regrettably died. Perhaps your kit is completely functioning, but you’d want a spare mod with a bit of extra power to put your tank through its paces. Let’s look at the best vape mods for 2021.
What Are Vape Mods?
Vape Mods Produce the Higher Efficiency And The Most Competent Vaping Performance!
Vape mods are the most powerful and most extensive vaping devices on the market. At the same time, the increased size and weight make a vape mod less pocketable than a small device like a vape pen or pod system. The extra length also means that a vape mod can give substantially better battery life while producing far more giant vapour clouds. In addition, because vape mods have more advanced chipsets and firmware than other types of vaping devices. They can frequently offer functionality that other types of vaping devices do not. For example, the Direct-to-Lung inhaling style is commonly used with vape mods.
The Direct-to-Lung Vaping Style
A vape mod is typically constructed with the presumption that users will prefer direct-to-lung (DTL) inhalation. However, unless you’ve been vaping for a long time, that’ll be a significant change for you because you’re probably used to inhaling through your mouth, like a cigarette smoker. The mouth-to-lung (MTL) inhalation approach is the most similar to smoking a cigarette. It performs well with higher-nicotine e-liquids and provides a cigarette-like throat impact when vaping. Direct-to-lung inhalation, on the other hand, is better suited to lower-nicotine e-liquids.
Although there will be a gentler throat hit with this vaping approach, you will still get enough nicotine because you will be breathing much larger clouds. One of the reasons individuals prefer direct-to-lung inhalation is the substantially higher cloud generation. The other reason is that utilising a device with high cloud production allows you to taste the most intense, robust flavours when vaping. Because a vape mod uses a threaded tank, you permanently can remove the tank that comes with it and replace it with a mouth-to-lung tank. Apart from the long battery life, there’s no incentive to utilise a powerful vaping device with a mouth-to-lung tank.
The Types Of Mods
Regulated Box Mods:
Regulated vape mods provide all of the safety features you’d expect from a starter vape kit, such as re-charge cut-off, minimum permitted resistance, and maximum current. The box mod is precisely that – a mod by itself that allows you to choose the type of tank and coil resistance you want to use with it. You’ll also notice additional features such as a puff counter, a timer for how long your previous draw was, and auto-detection of coil resistance.
Powered by rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, most frequently 18650 batteries, or a built-in battery within the mod. With high VG e-juices used for big cloud production and low coil resistances being so draining on battery life, these were designed to provide a longer battery life.
All of that is removed in Mech mods; no circuitry or electronic components separate the battery from the coil. Of course, this implies you’ll need a basic understanding of physics to build the entire setup using your own coils. Mechanical mods are available in both box and pen shapes. They direct power from your battery to the atomiser. However, while this is a more sophisticated gadget, the upside is that you have complete control over building the resistance, allowing you to maximise your cloud output. Mech mods are typically used in combination with rebuildable dripping atomisers (RDAs)
Squonking is a new trend in vaping that is comparable to dripping but without a mess. Squonk mods have a reservoir that can hold up to 7ml of e-liquid, making them a more portable choice for folks who want to make their own coils but don’t want to make juice with them. When you gently squeeze the bottle on the side, any excess is vacuumed away, and you receive a nicely soaked coil.
Squonkers also frequently contain a safety lock, which prevents you from accidentally flooding the deck with juice while it’s in your pocket. Essentially, you get all of the flavour pay-offs that you’d expect from an RDA without the need for regular dripping. As a result, these devices provide the most fabulous sub-ohm vaping experience.
Vapeholix Selection Of The Best Vape Mods For 2021:
Most experienced vapers who are seeking a long-lasting gadget turn to Voopoo. Voopoo Drag Mini Platinum Refresh Edition Kit is our first choice! However, for someone new to vaping and just starting to start, these mods might be a bit intimidating. Voopoo, on the other hand, has just introduced the Drag Mini Kit, a built-in battery mod aimed for newbie vapers.
The Drag Mini has a 4400mAh built-in battery and is available in eight different colours. The UFORCE T2 Tank is included in this package, and it is compatible with all ten Uforce coils. The device is meant to last, with a strong, all-metal body and a built-in battery. The fire and adjustment buttons are metal with a pleasant click, and they protrude just enough to prevent inadvertent adjustments.
The concave shape of the fire button is appealing to me, and it is easy to use. However, it’s not really revolutionary because it’s a refresh edition, and it still includes a micro USB charging connection. The Gene Chipset is quite essential, and the display is monochrome. However, it works well, and the screen is simple to see without any unnecessary information or branding. The Voopoo Drag Mini Kit Package and specifications are well described on our vape products page.
This kit includes the same excellent Drag Mini Mod as the previous Drag Mini / UForce Tank kit. In addition, this little mod has an inbuilt 4400mAh battery for all-day vaping and is charged with the included Micro USB cable. This device has a maximum output of 117w and is coupled with the Gene Fit Chip for a quick press-to-fire time, accurate setting precision, and the ability to optimise battery life, flavour, or cloud creation.
PnP Pod Tank And PnP Coils:
The box included a PnP pod tank and a PnP coiLs. Also, other successful Voopoo devices using PnP Pod include the Drag X and Drag S Pod kits. Voopoo decided to make it into a tank because it was so popular! They designed a 510 threaded base onto which the PnP Pod magnetically clicks (much like the Drag X & S kits), allowing it to be used as a tank on any 510 threaded mod. This can be purchased separately or as a package, such as the Drag Mini Refresh Kit. The coils for this tank are the identical PnP coils used on the Drag as mentioned above Pod Kits and the much-loved Vinci series, so we know they’ll be fantastic because everyone raves about them!
Drag Mini Refresh PnP Tank by Voopoo comes with an adapter that can be used with any battery or mod. PnP Pod Tank by Voopoo The AFC (Air Flow Control) on the PnP Tank’s base allows you to adjust how tight or slack the draw is, as well as a push-fit coil mechanism for quick installation. Simply remove the pod portion from the base, take the old coil out of the pod, and push in a new one to replace it.
Before you remove the coil, make sure your pod is empty since the contents will fall out. To fill this tank, remove the pod from the tank’s base and disconnect the bung found at the bottom of the pod; from there, fill with your preferred flavours.
You’ll get two PnP coils in the box, mesh coils with a longer lifespan and a better flavour than conventional ones. VM6: This is a 0.15ohm coil that operates between 60 and 80 watts. This is extremely strong for a coil that appears to be relatively minor in comparison to many high-power coils, but it more than holds its own and packs a punch. VM5: The kit’s 0.2ohm coil can handle between 40 and 60 watts. The PnP coil line has a large selection of coils to choose from, including a 1.0ohm coil for individuals seeking a mouth-to-lung kit with a powerful battery.
The basic performance:
The Drag Mini mod’s menus are quite straightforward to navigate, which is a significant bonus because other modifications can get rather complex with their options. For example, the Vapeholix team chose to try the 0.15ohm coil first since we wanted to check if it could handle the required power for such a tiny coil. In addition, the coils are simple to install since they push/pull out easily while remaining secure once in place. Finally, the simplicity of filling surprised our team!
We anticipated it to be cumbersome because it’s a bottom fill with a rubber seal/bung, but you can just remove the pod part, put your mod on its side (with the 510 bases still connected), and fill up with no problem. We put the mod through its paces with a typical wattage setting of 60W and total airflow. The flavour was strong, and the cloud was big and thick! There was no flavour loss after a full day of vaping on this setting (with heavy use), and the mod was still half-charged! So, before having a vape, we charged the mod all the way back up.
To protect battery life in the long term, we typically recommend charging the battery until it is flat or nearly flat, although we charged it at half charge for testing purposes. Our team ran the coil test after that, turning the power up to 80W and vaping away. As the coil reached the maximum of its recommended settings, the flavour faded little, but it was still outstanding, and cloud production was clearly increased. We also tried the FIT modes, but there wasn’t much of a difference between them. The curve feature appears to be quite good and detailed. Vapeaholix Online Vape Shop UK recommend using a regular wattage of up to 60W, and the coil will not burn.
Overall, the Innokin Voopoo Drag Mini is one of the best vape mods for 2021.
- Exceptionally well-made mod
- The Drag X/Drag S pods are compatible
- The capacity of the battery
- The filling is surprisingly simple
- Coil swapping is simple
- Menus are simple to use
- Smart wattage mode is a convenient feature to have
- Other coils can be used for a variety of vaping experiences
- Vinci Pods are not compatible
- The weight is excessive combined with the TFV18 sub-ohm tank
- Not capable of replacing the drip tip
The Drag mini Platinum, which uses the same fit chip as Drag 2, is more reliable than you could have expected. In addition, the unique FIT mode provides vapours with both security and convenience. Voopoo Drag Mini Platinum Refresh Edition Kit The Drag mini Platinum, which uses the same fit chip as DRAG 2, is more reliable than you could have expected.
Vapeholix second recommendation is the GeekVape Aegis Legend vape kit. GeekVape Aegis is a secure, 200w solid kit intended for sub-ohm vaping. This more extensive Aegis kit is powered by dual 18650 vape batteries (available separately), and the mod is waterproof, shockproof, and dustproof (IP67). It’s not just challenging, but it also has the famous AS chipset, which provides you access to various output options. In addition, each kit contains the GeekVape Zeus sub-ohm tank, which adds to the mod’s power and customizability.
The Aegis Legend’s power output can be changed between 5 and 200W for the optimum balance of vapour production due to Variable Wattage mode. Temperature Control lets you select a maximum temperature, and the wattage will be adjusted accordingly, which means your coils will never get too hot. As a result, you may experiment with a flavour more. Bypass generates the most power for a hard-hitting vape.
Finally, Variable Power Curve allows you to choose a range of wattages that will be fired successively. In addition, the Zeus tank, which can harness the high power output of the Aegis Legend device, offers modern characteristics such as a top filling design for easy and clean refilling.
His name says a lot about him because he is of an older generation mod, although he is truly a legend. The device covers all the basics for vapers seeking a sub-ohm, twin 18650 battery, box mod kit that is dependable and simple to use. The 200W Aegis Legend Limited Edition is unmistakably a hardworking mod with a gleaming finish.
Adjustable airflow allows for better control of vapour flow for a tighter or looser inhalation. In addition, because the mesh construction is compatible with the GeekVape Z Mesh coils, you will experience increased vapour and flavour production. We recommend a 70 per cent VG or higher e-liquid for optimal performance. In addition, it is compatible with a broad range of liquids.
- Longer battery life – a pair of 18650s
- Attractive leather and rubber exterior
- This is fantastic mod series.
- It’s bulky and large
- TC mode is still pretty pedestrian
Sub-ohm vaping is the goal of this gadget. To use sub-ohm vape kits properly, you’ll need more knowledge and expertise. They employ specifically developed coils with a resistance of less than 1.0 Ohm, allowing them to use greater wattages. These kits will also have sophisticated settings that, to be utilised effectively, will need a working understanding of vaping. We do not advocate using an e-liquid with more than 6mg nicotine level since it will be extremely harsh on the throat. In addition, Sub-ohm vaping creates more vapour, which results in a more substantial throat impact. When utilised with this kit, high VG e-liquids will produce more vapour.
Overall, the Innokin Geekvape Aegis Legend is one of the best vape mods for 2021.
Innokin announces the Coolfire Z80 & Zenith II kit, including the latest edition of the Coolfire box mod and the third Zenith tank. This kit is the newest addition to the Platform line, a series geared to beginner vapers and smokers wishing to make the switch. It was designed by Phil Busardo and the VapinGreek (Dimitris Agrafiotis). Millions of smokers have been converted to vaping thanks to previous Coolfire mods and Zenith tanks, so this kit has large shoes to fill.
The kit comes in totally recyclable cardboard packaging, which is a terrific idea that Innokin has been doing for quite some time. Two units were sent to me: a Leather Black and a Leather White. I’d heard so much about the other two available selections (Ash Grey and Cloudy Grey) and their Alcantara-style feel that I was unhappy I didn’t acquire at least one of them. However, there’s no denying that the leather alternatives look and feel fantastic.
Innokin makes some of the most fashionable modifications on the market; the Kroma-R was one of my favourites in 2020, and they’ve managed to make the Z80 even more attractive. The mod’s primary body is composed of metal, while the backing is made of soft, thick leather.
The first thing that is awesome how light it is. The Z80 weighs 88.5 grammes (133 grammes with the battery installed) and strikes the perfect mix between being light and not feeling cheap. It’s an amazingly light mod when compared to the Kroma-R (138 grammes without a battery). It will be evident that it is in your pocket, but it will not feel like you are carrying it. Aside from that, the buttons have an excellent click, with a bronze accent on the fire button.
The display is enormous, colourful, and well-kept. It’s the same interface as their Sensis mod, except the Z80’s screen is flat and not curved, making it easier to see. Finally, it charges at 1.7A through USB Type-C, and the battery door is secured with a screw cover. I’m not a fan of needing to remove the door to change the batteries, but it will undoubtedly outlast these push-button latches.
In terms of the tank, the Zenith II looks and feels more like a follow-up to the original Zenith than the Zenith Pro that came out in the interim. It’s a 26 mm tank with a 5.5 mL juice capacity and a long list of well-thought-out upgrades. Better appearance, no strange-looking drip tip riser this time, three small MTL airflow holes, a slot for RDL, and the possibility to remove the glass to completely clean the tank.
This time around, the airflow ring is also easier to grip, and they’ve put a silicone gasket to the filling hole. One of the defining qualities of the Platform series is how simple it is to use the mod. The Z80, for example, doesn’t even have a temperature control option.
Overall, the Innokin Coolfire Z80 is one of the best vape mods for 2021.
Innokin Coolfire Z80 Feature:
- Product Size: 131.75×38.3×27.6 mm
- Output Wattage:6-80w
- Output Modes: VW/VV/FØ (Frequency)
- Charging: 1.7A via USB-C Port
- Output Voltage:1-7.5v
- Resistance range: 0.1Ω-3.5Ω
- Display: OLED
- Battery: Single 18650
- Height: 36.0mm
- Diameter: 25.5mm
- Coils – Z-Coil Compatible (0.30/0.48/0.5/0.8/1.0/1.2/1.6)
- Airflow: Adjustable at base
- To Fill: top-filling port
- Capacity: 5.5ml/2.0ml TPD
The Zenith II tank:
The Zenith II has a diameter of 26 mm and a capacity of 5.5 mL. It includes two drip tips: an Ultem MTL drip tip and a black Delrin RDL drip tip. When it comes to filling and coil replacement, it’s very similar to the original Zenith. The top cap rotates to reveal the filling hole, and the lock/unlock symbols indicate the orientation. You may need to remove the drip tip to fill it more accessible, as I noted previously in the review. Next, unscrew the bottom of the tank and pull the coil out to swap coils. Make that the flat parts of the new coil are aligned with the notches when inserting it. The 510 connection of the tank is on the coil itself, as it is with all Z-coil tanks.
This implies that each coil comes with a new 510 connector, which is a fantastic feature, in my opinion. Simply turn the airflow ring to adjust the airflow. Three tiny holes for MTL vaping and a slot for RDL vaping are included. The first hole is slightly larger—I’m assuming it’s 0.8 mm—while the other two are also 0.6 mm. Because the original Zenith and Zenith Pro had wider holes, the Zenith II can get highly tight if necessary.
Unlike the Zenith Pro, the slot of the II may be accessed without utilising any of the smaller holes. The tank’s top and bottom are both designed to be easy to hold.
Millions of smokers have been converted to vaping thanks to previous Coolfire mods and Zenith tanks, so this kit has large shoes to fill. However, both pieces of the gear appear to check all the boxes on the surface: a stylish and well-built 80-watt 18650-powered mod with a handful of new and unique modes and a massive 5.5 mL 26 mm vape tank that accepts Z-coils and has several improvements over prior Platform tanks.
The tank comes with two coils in the package, and it works with the entire Z-coil line. The 0.8-ohm (MTL) and 0.3-ohm (MTL) coils are included (RDL).
- Lightweight and small in size (for a 18650 mod)
- The screen is large and crisp (coloured)
- The menu is simple to use
- Two new modes (F and Refresh) are available
- Refresh mode performs as expected
- Zenith II is an excellent MTL option.
- The airflow can be adjusted (from super tight MTL to RDL)
- Charging using USB Type-C
- Updates to the tank design are fantastic.
- Excellent construction quality
- Leather has a beautiful feel to it.
- After a handful of falls, the black unit has minor chipping.
- To fill, you may need to remove the drip tip (esp. with large bottles)
- My 0.3-ohm coils only lasted about two full tanks
- Removing a threaded battery cap is a bit of a pain
- Tank is too big for some mods (26 mm)
- There is no TC mode
The Zenith II is a fantastic MTL tank, and the Coolfire Z80 is an excellent mod. As a result, this is an awesome kit. It’s unique, sophisticated, and sultry in appearance, with a superb hand feel and some of the greatest MTL available. And the two new modes have a lot of potentials, even though I didn’t find the F mode that helpful. The drawbacks are minor, and some of them are personal preferences, such as the threaded battery cap. The only significant flaws are the black unit’s possible colour chipping, the filling can be messy if you don’t remove the drip tip, and the 0.3-ohm coils’ short lifespan.
The Drag X Plus by Voopoo is a single-battery mod that debuted alongside the Drag 3. It’s the 2020 update to the Drag X, and it has a few additional features over its predecessor. It features a 510 connector, which is a significant difference. It can also use a 21700, 20700, or 18650 battery and fires up to 100W, up from the Drag X’s 80W. The Drag X Plus Kit also includes Voopoo’s new TPP (Tank Pod Push) tank in addition to the improvements. The Voopoo and any other mod with a 510 port may utilise this pod-style tank because it comes with a 510 adaptor.
- High-end, sleek design
- Convenient to use
- Excellent performance in the Wattage mode
- Excellent TC mode performance
- Instantly ignites
- Smart Mode is ideal for novice vapers
- The 510 adaptor works with PnP tanksCons:
- Some TPP tank/coil leaking
- TCR is limited to 1000
The Drag X Plus retains the original’s clean metal frame and elegant aesthetic lines. It’s highly portable because of its small size, and even with the battery fitted, it’s not too heavy. The screen is a big, bright, and sharp full-colour display with a battery life indicator, your mode, wattage, a puff counter, voltage, coil resistance, and puff time all shown.
Overall, the Innokin Drag X Plus is one of the best vape mods for 2021.
The Smok Morph 2 is a dual battery box mod with dimensions of 88mm x 47.5mm x 31.7mm. It has a sturdy zinc-alloy chassis that feels solid but not too heavy (133.5g) in the hands. The flexible leather for comfortable tactility is one of Vapeholix favourite aspects of this mod. It feels incredibly smooth to the touch and is delighted to hold. The fire button is located on the top of one of the body’s sides.
It has a very clicky and responsive feel to it. Two adjustment buttons are conveniently located on the front side for simple operation. Above the correction buttons is a 0.96inch TFT-LCD Display Screen that displays all important vaping information such as battery life, vaping time, working mode selection, resistance, wattage, and puff counting.
- A twin 18650 battery mod in a small package
- When handling, the leather effect panels give comfort.
- The firing button is accessible and of a reasonable size.
- The screen is easy to read.
- The menus on the screen are flexible to use.
- When utilising the TFV18 sub-ohm tank, the fire speed is really rapid.
- The weight is excessive combined with the TFV18 sub-ohm tank
Smok did an excellent job with the design and aesthetics and ensured that it works well. Unfortunately, the well-built structure, superior chipset, and consistent performance are only a few of the kit’s drawbacks.
The Smok Morph 2 could be worth purchasing if you’re searching for a twin battery mod.
